Is Your Business Active?
As in, are you currently doing business? Do you have revenue? Or have you secured startup capital? The right time to bring in marketing and advertising is generally once your business is already underway, even if your revenue is only beginning or if you have startup capital in place.
There’s no downside to thinking ahead, but we’ll be able to help most if your business is currently running or far along on the startup path, so to speak. Once you have the major components into place— things like your name, income streams, website, etc.— this is the best time for us to help you.
Do You Have an Identity for Your Business?
By identity, we mean a name, a logo, and perhaps a bit of branding. We can of course help with this—for example if you need a logo, or an update on your current logo, we’re happy to create one for you— but in general it’s helpful to have the core ideas in place before looking for marketing services.
With this said, we’re always happy to help lead you in a more profitable direction, but we’re most effective when not starting completely from scratch.
Know what you want to accomplish for your business
We believe marketing is essential for nearly any business, but we can help you most effectively if you understand what you need. The most common need is more customers. But we also improve brand awareness and image, sales and promotions, consumer education, and other specialized areas that may be unique to your business. Having a set of goals for accomplishments is key.
Of course, we manufacture and help you understand the realization of these goals, but clear ideas about what you’d like to accomplish are beneficial.
Set aside a marketing budget
This may sound obvious, but you’ll want to have a monthly marketing budget set aside. We generally bill monthly for services over time, most often with a minimum six month contract. While you can cancel our services any time— with digital assets for you to keep— it takes some time for us to work our magic and to see results, simply based on the nature of the digital world and advertising.
There are some exceptions to this, for example if you have a large one-time or yearly event you’d like to promote, we can often offer special services.
Have social media pages created
Social media is the word-of-mouth for the digital age, and any business is going to need social pages on sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. If you’re new to this— don’t worry!— we can create these pages for you, but having them created gets things going faster for everyone.
If you can have the logins for these pages handy as well, that will also help us get started ASAP.
